Weseem’s portfolio

Hi! I’m Weseem, currently working in the ever-bustling field of data science.

I’m an Economist by training (MA Economics, Toulouse School of Economics) with experience modelling. It’s not a big surprise then that I found the world of data science absolutely intriguing. Over the past few years, I’ve been working on personal projects to using R and Python, first with basics like regression analysis and now I’ve begun experimenting building machine learning models and neural networks. Since then, I’ve earned my certificate in Data Science from the University of Toronto School of Continuing Studies and am well on my way to completing a certificate in Artificial Intelligence.

Some of my work thus far has had me study currency fluctuation and resource rent modelling, economic modelling, using models to predict changes to industrial profits over the coming decades, and machine learning models to estimate damages caused by wildfires.
